목적 : 라식수술전 검사항목에 대한 한국인의 평균치에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다.


대상과 방법 :2001년 7월부터 2002년 3월까지 본원에서 양안 라식수술을 받은 환자중 연구참여에 동의하였던 환자 298명 596안(남 102안, 여 494안)을 대상으로 하였다. 라식수술전 검사로 자동굴절검사(ARK)(Topcon, JAPAN), 타각적굴절검사, 조절마비제 투여후 굴절검사, 수동각막곡률(Keratometer)(Topcon, JAPAN), 안압(IOP)(NCT, NIDEK, JAPAN), 중심각막두께(CCT)(US pachymeter, OrbscanⅡ), 동공크기[Scotopic(Colvard), Mesopic (OrbscanⅡ)], 전방깊이(ACD)(OrbscanⅡ), 쉬르머검사(Schirmer test), 그리고 눈물막파괴시간(BUT)를 실시하였다. 이 검사결과를 바탕으로 평균치를 산출하여 한국인의 평균치를 추정하여 보았다.


결과 : 환자의 평균연령은 남 26.11±6.62세, 여 25.20±5.77세였고 중심각막두께는 US pachymeter(Sonogage, USA), OrbscanⅡ(Orbtek, Bausch & Lomb, USA)으로 측정하였는데 각각 536.33 ±29.77㎛, 540.39±34.25㎛으로 측정되었다. 안압은 14.33±2.61mmHg, 평균각막곡률값은 43.5±1.37D, 눈물분비검사 중 쉬르머검사(Schirmer test)는 9.15±7.03mm, 눈물막파괴시간(BUT)은 7.10±2.50sec 으로 나타났다. OrbscanⅡ으로 측정한 전방깊이(ACD)는 3.15±0.25mm, 동공크기는 Scotopic 6.41±0.86mm, Mesopic 3.74±0.83mm으로 측정되었다.


결론 : 이 논문에서의 환자 평균 연령이 대부분 20대, 30대로 한국인을 대변할 수 없지만, 라식수술을 받는 연령층이 20대, 30대가 대부분 차지하므로 이 논문에서의 평균치가 라식수술전 검사치를 판독하는데 참고가 될 수가 있을 것이다.

Purpose : To evaluate mean values of pre-LASIK test parameters in normal Koreans.


Methods : We investigated 596 eyes of 298 patients (51 Males, 247 Females) who were taken LASIK on both eyes in our clinic. For pre-LASIK test parameters, We performed the following testes on all patients; ARK(KR-7000, Topcon, JAPAN), objective refraction, cyclogplegic refraction, manual keratometry(Topcon, JAPAN), IOP(NCT, NIDEK, JAPAN)central corneal thickness(CCT)[(US pachymeter, OrbscanⅡ)], pupil size [Scotopic(Colvard), Mesopic(OrbscanⅡ)], Anterior chamber depth(ACD)(OrbscanⅡ), Schirmer test and BUT. On the basic of these test results, we evaluated mean values of pre-LASIK test parameters in normal Koreans.


Results : Patient's a verage age were 26.11±6.62 for males and 25.20±5.77 for females. Mean central corneal thickness using US pachymeter(Sonogage, USA) and OrbscanⅡ(Orbtek, Bausch & Lomb, USA) were 536.33 ±29.77㎛ and 540.39±34.25㎛, repectively. Mean values of IOP, Keratometry Schirmer test and BUT were 14.33±2.61
mmHg, 43.5±1.37D, 9.15±7.03mm and 7.10±2.50sec, respectively. Mean values of anterior chamber depth(ACD) were 3.15±0.25mm, Scotopic & Mesopic pupil size measured as 6.41±0.86mm and 3.74±0.83mm, respectively.


Conclusion : The patients included in this study were in their twenties & thirties and maight not represent whole Koreans. But, since most patients undergoing LASIK surgery in Korea are younger age group, our study results maybe used as a refcrence guide for pre-LASIK test parameters.
