실험적 Staphylococcus aureus각막염에서 Ciprofloxacin을 적신 Collagen Shield의 치료효과


 


Staphylococcus aureus각막염에서 ciprofloxacin을 적신 collagen shield의 치료효과를 알아보기 위하여 백색토끼 20마리 40안에서 S.aureus각막염을 실험적으로 유발시켰다. 1군은 0.2% ciprofloxacin을 적신 collagen shield를 각막에 착용시킨 후 0.2% ciprofloxacin을 30분 간격으로 4시간 추가로 점안하였고, 2군은 0.2% ciprofloxacin을 적신 collagen shield를 4시간동안 각 막에 착용시켰으며,3군은 0.2% ciprofloxacin만 30분 간격으로 4시간 점안하였다. 그리고 4군은 대조군으로서 BSS를 30분 간격으로 4시간점안하였다.각막을 Tissue homogenizer로 균등분쇄한후, 각막의 조직현탁액을 배양하여 S.aureus의 생균수(colony-forming units)를 계산하였다. 1,2,3군은 대조군에 비하여 현저한 치료효과가 있었으며(p<0.01), 각군을 비교시 1군,2군,3군의 순서로 치료효과가 좋은 것으로 나타났으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다(p<0.05).이 결과로 볼때 0.2% ciprofloxacin을 적신 collagen shield는 S.sureus각막염에서 초기치료시 효과적이고 간편한 치료방법으로 생각한다(한안지 37:1601~1606,1996). In order to study the efficacy of a 0.2% ciprofloxacin-soaked collagen shield for the treatment of Staphylococcus aureus keratitis, an experimental study was performed on 40 eyes of 20 rabbits. Twenty hours after intrastromal injection with S. aureus, the rabbits were divided into four groups: Group 1(10 eyes) was treated with a 0.2% ciprofloxacin-soaked collagen shield with an additional instillation of 0.2% ciprofloxacin drops every 30 minutes for 4 hours; Group 2 (10 eyes) was treated with a 0.2% ciprofloxacin-soaked collagen shield for 4 hours;Group 3 (10 eyes) was treated with 0.2% ciprofloxacin drops every 30 minutes for 4 hours; Group 4 (10 eyes) received BSS every 30 minutes for 4hours as a control. Bacterial killing was quantitated by culturing corneal homogenates and calculating the number of viable bacteria (colony-forming units) per cornea. Groups 1,2, and 3 showed significantly reduced numbers of bacteria compared with the control (p<0.01). The order of efficacy in the treatment for S. aureus Keratritis were groups 1,2 and 3, respectivel, but the statistical difference was not significant among groups 1,2, and 3(p>0.05). These results suggested that a 0.2% ciprofloxacin-soaked collagen shield may be an effective and convenient mode of therapy for S. aureus Keratitis(JKorean Ophthalmol soc 37:1601~1606,1996).
